YOBILAB Admin/Moderation Module Discussion

I started this thread as I very like Yobilab started work on a most needed module fo D7 which hopefully bring us comprehensive admin levels with baskend access. Without something like this its simply impossible to run dolphin as professional site so I really like that Yobilab decided work on this mod. As Yobi want us to share our thought what features should module have I started this thread so everybody can contribute ideas and this eay module can be made really way we all need.

So..lets go giys and share your thoughts so Yobi can drive his upcoming mod the way we all want...

1) Highest administration level should be SIteOwners this level will set what superadmins, admins and managers have permissions to  this administration level should be no deletable by  all administration levels below so even superadmin cant delete siteowner but owner can delete superadmin. that one as is now in Dolphin by defaultz - so with this admin level called by me SuperAdmin -all peiple with this level will have full unrestricted control on whole site

2) Below SuperAdmins I would like to see Admins. In that level SuperAdmins can create unlimited Admins with different permissions maybe on same scheme as now are working permissions to certiant actions in curent dolphin frontend with difference this permissions will be also for backend.

There can be possoble to restrict what users can access certain functions and menus in administration, also in some most sensitive operations shoudl be possible to setup that they will require superadmin approval - so if admin perform some sensitive operation in backend it will be performed only if superadmin approve that.

There should be also some reporting module in backend so SuperAdmins or everybody with certain access privilegies can see a complete report about all administration staff - what they did, what time and also track presence - time admins logged in, logged out and how long time they spent on site.

There should be also email notification to superadmins what admins or managers did like... Supradmin A deleted user xxx or something like that so superadmins will know immediately what admins did.

3)Third administration level shoul be Manager which will have only frontend access not backend

4) Forum administrator - Fourth level of administrators only to perform administration of forums

5) Ability to turn on function that put q watermark with administrator rank so users can se if person id admin, superadmin, manager or forum manager. THis function should be turned on/off by superadmin

6)There should be some administration search in backend so superadmins can search all admins, superadmins, managers and can clearly see who is who and simply check what permissions the have. Also from here superadmins can add new administrator or delete one.

7) there should be option for site owner to turn on feature that superadmins or managers cant deloete each other in same administration level so one superadmin cant delete another one - or can but with approval of site owner.

8) there should be ip tracking and some security scanner for administrators access and in cause of suspicious behaviour admin account should be ttemporary supsneded. For example if admijn is from poland always login from poland and nsuddenly somebody using valid user/pass want login account should be suspended and warning toi siteowner should occur. Also there should be option to block all administrators in certain level at once by one click - like block temporarily by one click all superadmins from site owner level. Secutity checker for administration levels should also track all ip addresses and logins by all admins and managers

9) there should be inactive admin acccount search so siteowner or superadmin can search all administration account below for inactive admins where in search c\an be set for how long need be a administrator inactive to appear in search . SO if I enter inactive for 2 months search pull out all administration accouns where there was not login more than 2 months from todate with abilioty put those account to temporary suspended status by one clcik wherer will be automaticlally sended notification email to that admins.

10) main tab in this module should be an overview of all administration staff so siteowner can clearly ee how many admins there are, last login, last action performed, ip address and disable, delete button and also disable button for all prople in certain admin level

ALso after you come at some usable stage of development you can made some test site so we can help you find a bugs - more people participate more soon and stable will be release...

Another idea:

It an additional feature so sont have to be included in first versions. The feature should be administration management - some internal ticket system where admins can assign a tasks to do on site for lower administration levels users. For example admin A added a task to perform forum cleanup to subadmins. Subadsmin who accept job take it so it disappear from tast list and appear in work in progress with marked assignment who of subadmins get the job - this way core site admins with certain privilegies can assign various tasks to other administration staff and other admins can see what taska they have to do, who already taked an job what jobs are not taken yet and what jobs has been completed...

This idea is VERY VERY interesting.

We will consider it. This is gonna be a DIFFICULT job for us =D

But we will realize it, we need time, nothing else.

I have additional ideas:

1) site maintenance mode - by one click of admin with that permission or site owner whole site set to maintenance mode - some mesage appear in frontend and nobody of users can login in, register or access site. Only administrators and moderators can access site and perform administration tasks

2) admin complains option. There should be some small button on every admin or moderator avatar or profile which allow users to complain to admin/moderator behaviour to site owner or superadmin. My idea is after user click on complain button small ajax text form appear and user can enter what he wants complain to. This feature should be turned on/off by superadmin or site owner or enabled only for certain admins

3) hide dolphin license key from all except site owner. This option hide and disable access for all people with backend access to see, change or access dolphin licensing informations so it cant be misused

4) disable dolphin/boonex traces, links in backend - this option hide all links or names like boonex, dolphin in backend. This can be good if site owner dont want let other admins see what platform is site running on. I know by more advanced people they can find out easily but for average users this is good prevention

5) panic mode - I already mentioned similar function- superadmin with this permission or siteowner can by one click disable access of whole admin level - like disable all moderators, disable all foprum moderators, disable all superadmin. This new idea is an enhancement to that. In panic mode users with highest permissions (siteowners) can by one click disable access to all administrators except siteowner. This can be useful if site is heading some site takeover process ran by several administrators at once so site owner can very quickly disable access for all administrators at once except siteowner or except admins which will be on special allowed list for this special purpose

6) suspicious activity. There will be defined some predefined schemes when an admin will be reported for suspicious activity - like severaly try to access some function they dont have permission to, too many posts, too many banned users by that admin in short period of time. It will be set that this admin will be reported to admins with higher rank and siteowner and with highest suspicious activity threat they can be even automatically sudpended until actions reviewed

7) admin ip lock. Siteowner can set for certain core superadmins with highest permission IP lock for login (inlcuding siteowner own account) - those admins will be not able to,login from other ip address than one set by sitewoner. This can reduce risk account hack of admins with highest privilegies

Also hope that backend access restrictions can be alsom applied to not dolphin native moduiles - so If I have some commercial mod installed I can disable access to it also...

Suggested Admins feature: System itself suggest to sitewoner who of members can be recommended to get an administration function. There can be set parameters what users will be sugested. For example users which are registerd for some longer period of time, have everyday activity, received certain amount of likes, achieve certain amount of points, posted more than certain amount of forum posts etc.... This way siteowner can see and consider users siteowner can consider to offer administrator or moderator function to. It will be probably very resources intensive if system will perform this search online so probably there shoule be some button or cron job to set when this search can how ofter it can be performed so system will be not slowed down

I have a good feeling about YOBILAB and hig hopes.  I hope for the best and I will be keeping an eye on the market for his MODS.  I can't wait.

As for this mod we are working on it.

Give us the time to code it, because it's a difficult, very difficult thing. It will be like replacing the whole admin side, you know, it's a bit hard =D

But I really like all our ideas, I have shared all of them to all the Yobi programmers and we deciding which ones to implement in the first release, and which ones in the next ones.

I wish we have a way of not just sharing photo/video links but actually sharing the photo/video itself like how we can share/embed video from youtube to FB. FB members can watch the phot/video in FB and if they like what they see they can got to our main site via link for more photo/video.  Hmm. Is this possible Yobi?  Of course we need to be able to enable/disable this per member type  in admin panel. Please tell me it's doable.

Well it is not an idea for the moderation mod, but yes anyway that is possible, and that is a good idea.

We are already coding some Facebook-Like mods and some others to improve the FB connect features.

Step by step we will be able to provide each mod, in the right time.

Any idea when these mods are coming out?  I can not contain myself.  I am very eager to try these mods out. I knew I can count on you and your team.  Best wishes to you and your team and I will keep an eye on the market for all your mods and I hope it's coming out soon and at an affordable price.

Anyway.

We are going to release:

1) Facebook like search Engine. This will be a copy the Facebook Search Engine, same functionalities and similar style.

2)Simpler mods will be released soon, such as: splash page generator, footer generator, enhanced promo(new functionalities)

3) More difficult mods to be released in the next month: Moderator mod(This one), and Joomla! integration(this is something crazy to do).

Let me know if you like these ideas. If you have any other idea, well, much appreciated!

seems good Yobi :-) What would be a bomb is a eshop module as current shop in D7 is a joke. I think if you develop simple but proper eshop module that will be really a bomb with all basic features as coupon codes, review functionality, integrated dolphin comments, shipping handling more payment gateways including wire transfer. It doesnt have to be eshop like magento or others so can be simplier but functional :-) but nice shop even a simple one is kinda tough job :-)

We are doing this for a customer now.

But we do not have the rights to resell it......The customer has bought this mod with copyright.

AN INTEGRATION DOLPHIN + MAGENTO!

aha u doing eshop for customer. Well I think you should concentrate also on some eshop version available to all. Magento is good just dont know if it will be not too complicated for use with dolphin but good idea ... maybe you can made some simple shop to be used instead of default dolphin shop but with proper functionality and magento integration also as a separate mod for more demanding customers

Good spywall will be good too as I still resist buy that one from ibello because of his conditions I dont like.There is only one good spyewall so people have no choice so if there will be some competition it will be good :-)

Enhanced promo will be really good Im missing some really nice designed top promo section where we can put nice way some highlights of our sites so hope your enhanced promo will be the one :-)

What I also missing is some complete backup tool which backup automatically database and whole dolphin installation including remote backups.There is one backup mod but that backup, only database What is also missing is some SEO module combined with sitemap and SEF creator which will make dolphin more seo friendly, autogenerate sitemap, auto ping google and others if new content etc....

All good ideas.

But I don't want to be in competition with ilbellodelweb.

I know him, he is a good guy. I know there are too many restrictions.

I will talk to him about it, don't worry.

it will be good if you talk to him as his spwall is really great module, he also seems to be great programmer and its great he update his mods extensively. The only what i dont like his conditions are really way too much restrictive I think if he made similar conditions as you have than I will have no problem with him and also some of his angry customers will calm down :-)

I have another idea:

1) option that block frontend access to certain moderators, SIte owner will be able to block certain administrators from frontend login, so their login details will work only for backend, but they will be not able login to frontend

2)another enhancement of moderation account security should be an ability to set backend access to only certain countries or one country  using htaccess and all login attempts from other countries will be ignored and also prevent using free proxies to go around this - actually this feature will be good also for frontend, also there should be ability to set after how many login attempts will be backend login disabled for a certain IP and for how long

3)ability to prevent backend access with additional password protection. I mean before user see backend login form there he will be asked for additional password . This pass will be set by siteowner

Yobi I have another idea for a good module which can be usable to develop,

Module which allow members of site to actually lock some part of their profile - prifileview itself, separate lock of videos, photos, events , sounds. Other users if they wan access that member profile, photos , sounds tec will have to pay that mamber to access. Sitewoner setup an special paypal account for this prpoose and also set percentage how much site owner wouild like charge member for every sale. SO for example some user decide he want sell access to their photo section 20 USD/monthly, siteadmin have set for this function provision 15% so siteowner will earn  3 USD from this sale. Members money earned by payment of other access will be seen in member administration and money will be collected altogether in special paypal account, when money rach certain level set by siteowner member can either request pay off or exchange money for points  (if mod will be connected with some points mod)

I know there are several modules for points etc but no module which actualy make availability to members sell access to their photos, videos, profile wtc... so this mod can be really cool :-) what u think ?

This is nothing very simple, and we need to understand how to integrate it in Dolphin, because it will probably completely replace the admin panel.

So we are looking for a feature to make it work in a different way, without affecting the default functions.
