I would just love to use Dolphin, but it won't get through the installation phase.
Everything seem to work up til I press Next after given the admin username + password, after that I just get "Waiting for..." in the browser status bar and NOTHING more happens (for several hours). Something seem to hang.
The database tables are created correctly and although I haven't viewed the contents of the tables, they appear to have contents (MySQL Administrator shows that). The Apache logs (error or access) shows nothing that gives any hints. I have read through all installation issue postings here in the forums and I have found no one else with this proplem.
The server is located in my own server room so I have full control over it. It's a real server (Dell PowerEdge 2650 with full memory banks, double Xeon 2.8GHz CPUs, redundant disks) so nothing is limited HW wise. I run Win2K3 Server, Apache 2.2 Webserver, MySQL 5.0.x, PHP 5.x. ZenCart works perfectly on the very same server (that is, the server is configured for PHP and MySQL and works fine with that). The firewall is open for port 80/HTTP requests, which should be ok for just the installation itself.
Everythings (as far as I can see) is set according to the detailed installation guide, e.g. file protection. It simply doesn't work. I gave it 8 hours yesterday, by going through all the steps over and over again, reading the detailed installation guide and so on. Then I got so mad I deleted all of it and started to look for something else, but here I am - I am back. I can't give up and Dolphin sure looks good so I want to get the installation to work.
Can anyone give me any hints, suggestions, solutions :) ? Any help is much appreciated.
