BS1 is ideal for sites that have started to outgrow shared. If you're hitting resource limits on shared, that won't be an issue on dedicated, and you can use APC for Dolphin's cache for more speed.

I don't really like to quote how 'fast' servers run since it technically comes down to processing speeds, memory, etc. But what I will say about ALL of our servers is that when it gets delivered to you, it will be built & configured specifically to run Dolphin at top performance.

I like leaving the 'how fast' it runs up to our customers to say

Do i have to sign a contract ? do you guys provide backups ? do you do free migration from shared host to yours dedicated server ? I have ssl with arvixe as well do you guys transfer or how it works ?

And how many members a BS1 could handle ?

Does it come with cpanel ? asking cause i'm used to work with cpanel.

No, we don't have contracts - the minimum term is one month, and you can cancel at any time (although we hope you won't!). We do setup automatic backups on the server, and have FTP backup plans available to store them off-server if desired.

We we include a free move or install with all orders, and can also transfer the SSL certificate if we have the necessary information (this should be in cPanel). If the new server is ordered with cPanel as well, we can run a full cPanel account transfer to copy over the account itself.

How many members and how large a site really depends on the kind of site this is. A site with a lot of video upload activity and RMS will require more resources than one mostly used for blogs and forums. Because of the small drive size and CPU, we don't recommend a BS1 for sites that will upload a lot of videos, but sites less focussed on media should be able to run with over a hundred registered users. I'll be able to offer a better estimate if I know more about the site.

Edit: By default all servers include Plesk with a 10 domain license, but cPanel is available for an additional $36.00/month. Unless you absolutely need cPanel, I recommend giving Plesk a try. It's about as full-featured and stable as cPanel, and has the same user-end features.
