a few things

Greetings once again!

Still exploring my brand new installation of Dolphin 7. Quite entranced with it even though I get confused at times.

Concerns/Questions:

1) Groups: Is there a way for a user to "bookmark" a favorite group(s) and have those appear on their "dashboard home" page? Going to the top menu, clicking Groups, selecting Groups home, and then finding their favorite group(s) is clumsy. Probably right in the "Quick Links" area would be nice.

2) Orca: Is there any way to have activity in a subscribed "thread" show up on the user's Wall? Oh, for that matter, how to "subscribe" to a thread at all? I thought I saw that somewhere but I just looked in a topic and didn't see an option. Ahh, subscribe was for the group itself! Actually, that subscribe button would function great if it added it to the user's "Quick Links" area.

I also want to move the Wall to the user's Dashboard Home page but I imagine that is possible, just haven't tried it yet.

3) On the main page there is an "Options" block. I can't find a way to remove it.  I think it is just below "Quick Search" by default. I sure don't want that thing on my site. :)

4) Wysiwyg editor. On blogs, forum posts, and etcetera, we get a nice TinyMce editor. However, if I type in a subject for a new Topic and hit my Tab key I end up in the formatting controls. That is REALLY awkward. It is bad enough my cursor doesn't immediately focus() on the Subject field and I have to click there, but I have to move my hand from my keyboard again and click in the body/topic text field?

5) I continue to get warnings that my "allow_url_include is On" I did make a copy of my hosts php.ini, edited it and put it in my public_html directory so I could finish the installation but my cron job keeps yelling at me. Fortunately, I changed the cron job to once an hour rather than every minute. Hoo boy, I hadn't checked email for a couple of hours and I had almost 600 emails from the system complaining! :) Anyway, what all does the cron job do besides that? Is it necessary? allow_url_include is definitely off but the cron job doesn't appear to be looking at MY php.ini file but the host system. (hostmonster.com)

6) I was moving menu's around, just customizing the top navigation and suddenly I get the following at the top of the page. Nothing seems to work too well now. RSS feeds just whirl, the clear cache links don't seem to do anything, hmmm.

Warning! Cannot evaluate Menu Cache file (/home/saltcomu/public_html/dolphin/cache/sys_menu_top.inc).

Sorry if the answers to this stuff is obvious. I haven't figured em out yet!

Thanks,

Steve
