lol - my badd - the issue you are having here in this thread, is what i was referring to in the other thread. in which you posted that you knew about the ios6 issue, but I also saw a post somewhere in which the user has an iphone with ios4, and the videos work. I have not seen anyone with higher than a 4 say that it works for them. I have access to 4, 5, and 6, and only the 4 works for me personally. I figured that resolvingthe issue with 6 would also resolve my issue with 5. Plus, I also have this problem when viewing videos through the mobile app. Now, on my LG G2X (android), I installed a custom ROM, which unfortunately does not have flash support, and ended up installing a different video player to handle those. now, when viewing a video, I am asked which video player I want to use, and selecting the newly downloaded one - and not the default one - will allow the videos to play with no problems, but selecting the default one will only give me audio - if anything at all. So, considering there are a multitude of mobile devices and not knowing which devices will play which videos, I have just added a little note saying that if the videos dont play, you may have to download and install an alternative video player. Most of the people that I deal with already know that not everything is going to work on everything, so dont have a problem downloading a small app to play the videos. EDIT quick clarification: I installed the alternative video player for flash support - NOT - because of the videos on my dolphin site. In theory, the html5 player in my phone (and i know there is one there cause videos on other sites work - although not every site with videos works for me) so the issue is probably with the type of codecs used in the converted videos final format. And if you want more confusion - i can go to youtube and watch videos there fine - but embedding a video from youtube onto a blank page and uploading to my site, only plays the audio. So, how is that? My first thought was that there is something blocking access to my videos using mobile devices. On our first dolphin site, i wrote a code that will play html5 for html5 players, and flash for flash enabled devices, and even that code does not work if i use it on our new site. caredesign.net |
what i think is a codec problem. that i see but i can determinate if the codec or the convertion to html5 file format. also there is not a guide for what is the pre-requirement to play well the html5. i did the newtown article about ffmpeg but nothing happens :( lol - my badd - the issue you are having here in this thread, is what i was referring to in the other thread. in which you posted that you knew about the ios6 issue, but I also saw a post somewhere in which the user has an iphone with ios4, and the videos work. someone can help me to identify why this happens? I don't believe I'm the only person who has this error...
when I started to debug this??? www.tumundo247.com - www.rampletea.com - www.clasificadosnetwork.com |
Just throwing this out there…. can it be because video file is being converting to .m4v not .mp4? I’m not sure can anybody else confirm?

I am seeing the same issue on my iOS Dolphin mobile app. It was working just a week ago. Now the videos are not playing.
