how do u make private public ???? answer is here http://www.estores.pk/help.php |
When I upload a photo of an item for my Store it automagically places it in an album named "Hidden" with the attribute of "Allow viewing album to: Me Only". Every time I try to change it to "Allow viewing album to: Public" it freakin automagically reverts back to "Allow viewing album to: Me Only". All I want is to allow a "non-member" to be able to view the photo of the Store item. How is this achieved? I have enabled EVERYTHING under "Manage Membership Levels-Actions of 'Non-member' membership level".

I installed The Store on another website (a 7.0.1) site. Non-members are able to view items in the Store on that site. The photo attributes are "Allow viewing album to: Me Only" which makes me think that Album privacy settings are irrelevant for this problem. Thoughts...anyone? Is this just a problem with 7.0.2? |
Okay here is the solution: You must post items in the store under user "admin" NOT ANY OTHER NAME REGARDLESS OF ITS PRIVILEGES! NEVER LOSE YOUR ADMIN PASSWORD. YOU CAN NOT SIMPLY CREATE ANOTHER ACCOUNT UNDER A RANDOM NAME AND GIVE IT ADMIN PRIVILEGES AND THEN USE IT TO POST ITEMS IN THE STORE. If you do only members can see your products. The whole idea of a store is to allow anyone to see your goods. If you do lose your admin password: 1. delete the original admin account 2. create a new account named "admin" 3. go into the Profiles Table in your database 4. make User ID for admin=1 5. Give it a Role =3 |

Okay I'm not sure but for this you may need to check "Product " viewing permissions |
@tcpride: that was tried long ago (see lworld's request at the very top of this thread). My solution works. The name "admin" apparently is "special" for this module to work properly. Do as I suggest above or do what Magnussoft suggests to change the admin password.
