cannot upgrade to 7.0.1

Hi All

I have 2 Dolphin installations. A test version running on Windows Xp with Apache and a production version running on Linux being hosted.

I usually try any changes on the test version. The version is 7.0 and the build 0

I unzipped the 7.0.1 patch and copied it to the test job with a Yes replace to all.

I then erased the .htaccess file from the upgrade directory then ran http://mysite.com/upgrade

These are the messages I get

BoonEx Dolphin Upgrade Script
7.0.0-7.0.1                   Update can not be applied    
7.0.0.RC-7.0.0.RC2       Update can not be applied    
7.0.0.RC2-7.0.0.RC3     Update can not be applied    
7.0.0.RC3-7.0.0.RC4     Update can not be applied

I noticed one or two others who got this message but did not get any answers.

To be honest man, I had so many issues after performing the 7.0.0 > 7.0.1 upgrade, i'd suggest that if it's a relatively new community, you should perform a clean install of 7.0.1.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for all the little bugs to be fixed. I'm not knocking the Boonex guys at all, after all they are supplying us with an astonishing software package here, but from what I've seen with my very limited experience with Dolphin so far, issues can go unanswered for quite some time.

My clean 7.0.1 has a couple of issues that need to be addressed like the Flash uploader, but way way less than what were caused by the upgrade.

There are 2 missing from that list.

7.0.0.RC4-7.0.0.RC5

And

7.0.0.RC5-7.0.0

Look in your upgrade/files folder. If those are not in there that would indicate your still at RC4 so you would have to get the 7.0.0 final version and finish the last 2 upgrades first, then reinstall the patch to 7.0.0 and then do that one.

I wonder why a message could not be displayed informing users of this

And better still putting the RCxx into inc.header.php

And I have not seen any official response from Boonex as to all the bugs in 7.0.1

and as to how they are going to fix them ASAP
