change fontsize

hai there, does anyone know how I can change the basic fontsize of this kind of screens in Dolphin? In Dolphin they use exact this kind of screens in the forums blogs etc.etc. but basic the fontsize is very small! It keeps people away from my site, because they can hardly read all the comments.

I know how to change the fontsize of my website, I don't mean this. I only mean the fontsize of the blogs/forums/comments on photo's etc.etc.

I also know that people can easily change the fontsize by clicking on "fontsize' above this screen. But a lot of people don't do this, or think it is much work setting the fontsize for everything they type.

And it is way to small. so I just want to set the basic fontsize on 14 points or something like that.

thankkss for helping me out

Firebug used on Firefox is a great tool for figuring out which CSS codes do what on Dolphin.  Search 'Firebug' with Google and check it out!

each section has its own .css file as member above said use firefox with the firebug add on to find what file needs the changes. you can also see the changes made before you do them in your cpanel and make them for real.

I use firebug. didn't know I could find this thing also with that.. so I tried and it is in map www.mysite.net/forum/layout/base_en/css/blank.css rule 2

well try to find that with filezilla or something, it is not there!

I have this problem several times, that the links that firebug give doesn't excist and no-one know how come. ok I solved that one I searched at "blank.css" and found it is in publichtml/boonex/modules/forum/layout/base_en/css/blank.css

so its a bit different than firebug says... so okay I changed 11 points to 14, but I don't know what I have changed but it's not the fontsize of what you type in the screen.

can any one help me and try to locate it for me?

if u use firefox install the add on - web developer tools, 10 times better at css than fire bug

when isnstalled select css and from the drop down select 'view style information' and a little red cross will appear, click the area u want to search for and it tells u exactly where it is.

Someone once told me that there was a way to edit the codes in Firebug then Save them right in the program. Is this true?

Ok I will try that developer. but in the meanwhile, noone tried to locate the fontsize of the forum for me?? I don't know what to point at with firebug, cause if I point to "fontsize" In the inputscreen, it will just change the fontsize of the word "fontsize" and not the actually fontsize.

When I type something in the screen and point at that with firebug I get this link I just wrote down here, but nothing changes.....

If anyone can find the location, I would be very happy and if they can explain to me how they found it (not only with firebug or developer, but where actually to look) I would be even more pleased, cause than I can find it not only for the forum, but also for the blogs and maybe even the chat..

the easiest way to find it is go into your forum and find the font you want changed put your cursor over it and right click to inspect properties it will list in firebug what file it is in. you can make changes in firebug right there to test it to see what size you want to make the changes stick they need to be done in your cpanel files
