cron permissions error

Cron Daemon to me

/bin/sh: /home/churdle/public_html/furriesxtreme/periodic/cron.php: Permission denied

So I figured I'd go to the folder and change the permissions.. usually I see 755 all the time, so when I opened the permissions it was 644.. so I changed it. Now I'm getting:

/home/usrname/public_html/websitename/periodic/cron.php: line 1: ?php

/home/usrname/public_html/websitename/periodic/cron.php: line 2: /***************************************************************************

Any ideas? Around the same time this happened, I uninstalled the Shoutbox and then Reinstalled it to try to see if that would get it back to it's default settings..

Why?  We don't have a D7 RC Version right now, only D7.0 Stable at the moment.
