d7b5 mailbox buttons

Hi,

Please be patient...this time it's hard for me to explain it in english....

if you go in dashboard home (after correctly logged in), when you click in quick link button, for example Events, if you click near the text it will redirect you correctly, but, if you click mailbox buttons (Inbox, sent etc), you have to click in the text, otherwise it will not redirect you (the image change and seems you have clicked but not redirected)

I hope someone understand what I want to tell..

what you think about it?

There is such problem, at me also. Probably, a mistake.

I've created the ticket for this issue. Will fix it in next release.

This bug is still present at Beta 6: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/1150

This isn't a bug, it's just how they designed it.  The mailbox links are just text links, not buttons.  I don't think they intended the images to be links.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

Don't know why not. It's not that hard to include the image into the link code ....

That goes against usability.

A button has to behave like a button, rather than a link hidden in an image that appears to be a button but does nothing.

I know what usability means.   Yes, a button needs to behave like a button, but only if it actually is a button.  The links you guys are talking about are meant to be text links, NOT buttons.  Personally, I like it the way it is.

Are we taking about this?

This screenshot is from d7b6... as you can see I'm pressing the Inbox "button" (the image, not the link)... it behaves like any other botton but no action is done... I believe that this will confuse users.

If it looks like a button, let it behave like a button, otherwise the image (not the icon) shall be removed so it is clear that it is only a link.

I thought it was.  Just so you don't think I'm losing my mind, here's what I've been looking at:

So, it seems as though my template has no buttons.  Yours however does indeed have buttons, and should behave as such.

Sorry for adding confusion to this topic.  This is definitely a bug on the standard Dolphin template.

A picture is worth a thousand words :)

I'm glad to have reached a common understanding.
