d7b6 seo

Hi,

Dolphin 7 need some SEO!

In profile page, don't show in title the description (can't be mandatory!) but show username, y/o, sex, SITENAME (before check for privacy restriction)

example:

luca_it's Profile, 21 yo, man, Italy - Demozzz.com

Keywords and description metatag are not in profile page, but we need it for a good result in search!

I think this structure for keywords are  good: USERNAME, city, y/o, sex, country

example:

luca_it, Italy, 21 yo, Vicenza, luca_it'sprofile

description can be:

luca_it's Profile on Demozzz.com.

I hope you have understand what I mean!

We need it in 7.0 otherwise for example, in google, the description of a page become the quote text of the quotes module like this "We were born to unite with our fellow men, and to join in community with the human race."!

All static text of titles, keywords and description have to be in language file, except the site name that is a web site setting!

This work have to be done for all pages, with appropriate keywords, title and description (the forum page of an event's have this title: EVENT NAME :: Orca Forum, instead of Orca put SITENAME)

Thanks to all

And evaluate the possibility to use meta tag robots with content noarchive, to prevent caching by search engine!

For an active community, cache are old and contain non existant link!

Bye

And that is where as a site owner you need to take the time and set your pages how you want them.  While you might find it useful to have username, y/o, sex, SITENAME some one else might want SITENAME, tags and location.  See the issue?  If it's set up one way and someone else wants it another then they have to go code becase it was done just for you.

It's not that difficult to set meta tags on pages the way that you want them, just a time consuming.  This isn't something that Boonex should be doing though.
