Since I haven't been able to add a NEW_ITEM block in profile fields. Visitors get a db error each time they try to join.. PLEASE help!

This is from previous post:

I am trying to place a NEW_ITEM in the profiles. However each time I drag the NEW_ITEM block over to its position, it will not stay, and a popup box saying "Sorry couldn't insert new item. Please check if NEW_ITEM already exists." Well there is no other NEW_ITEM there!

the first problem , are u talkin about the profile_fields under builders, if so

i went and draged a New_Item block up to Active blocks and then repeated

the same thing and got the error yer talkin about, so in Active blocks make

Check both the profiles table and the profile fields table.  "NEW_ITEM" will be in one of those tables.  Delete it, and you will be fine.

Caltrad can you please explain what you mean by profile fields table and profile fields?

All i know is that I have "items" and  "blocks" .. In items there are no other NEW_ITEM blocks?

This happened to me too.
I just put a new block in a page and I forgot to change his name is as follows: "_HTML BLOCK" in the "Inactive Blocks
Just search or you put this block in inactive and remove it or use it. Then everything works.
I tell you because I had the same problem as you before finding the solution

I've checked every single block, item and field.... there are none that are active that have NEW_ITEM or _HTML

There is none.. I assure you.

I mean you are going to have to go into the database with php/mySql and look at those tables.  Have you ever done that before?  It can't be fixed in the Dolphin admin panel - you have to access your database.

Firstly thanks for trying to help me through this.

I looked in phpmyadmin at "sys_profile_fields". Nowhere can I see NEW_ITEM . Checked the 2 pages. Is there also somwhere else I should be looking?
