dolphin 7.1 error

So i just installed a fresh copy of dolphin 7.1. I then tried to attach my dolphin 7.0 Database to it and I get this error message:

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/kartingc/public_html/inc/classes/BxDolDb.php on line 444

Fatal error: Call to a member function getParam() on a non-object in /home/kartingc/public_html/inc/db.inc.php on line 83

Anyone know how to fix this? I checked my header.inc.php and username/pass/name of db is all correct and the username has access to the db but still get this message. The default database that dolphin 7.1 installed works with no issue, but when I import my, I  get that error above.

I did have the phpbb3 mod installed along with another two mods, would that have to do with anything?

I think you will need compare header.inc.php file with the new from d.7.0.1

they are the same pretty much. I tried replacing it, I get error: Database query error

plus got an email with kar_dol70.sys_sessions doesn't exsist
