email detection

Can anyone tell me if dophin has something that will automatically detect if someone is trying to include an email address and know to decline that profile and request they redo the profile without the email addy.  I know this type of feature exists out there because I recall it being on sites like schoolmates.com.au (or whatever it's called these days), among others.

At the moment I manually check but this would involve re-checking profiles constantly to make sure no one has edited their profile after joining etc. and that is obviously time consuming, not to mention probably near-impossible if we start getting members up in the thousands down the track!

Cheers

Jodie

Why do you want to do this?

Dolphin 7 doesn't have that we call (and ask for) Bad Words Filter (such filter could detect email addresses too). Have a look there: http://www.expertzzz.com/Downloadz/view/2891... This mod is for D6.1 but will probably soon be upgraded for D7 ;-)

There is a setting somewhere in the Admin Panel that allows  to set profiles which was edited to Approval status.

I'm still wondering why the original poster wants to do this.  If someone wants to post an email address, they can change the format so it is not detected as an email address, but it is still readable.... it's just not clickable.

Email: houstonlively at boonex dot com

So.... I'm just wondering what the real intent is.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
