embed videos

can we embed other videos other then just youtube ones ?

I'm not sure, but I suppose it's worth a shot.

I tried myspace and veoh and it does not seem to work.

can any one guide me to the embedding of youtube videos? can we directly allow the user to give the URL from youtube  and straight away upload the video? as we have in "orkut.com"

it appears that boonex has something coded that is looking for a trigger in the url in order to activate the continue button. as you know its grabbing the entirety of the file from --> description and other information.

so in testing a few areas outside of youtube, you see the /watch?v=somefilename

i believe the embed source code as its being deemed is not actually an embed at all, but a direct link player from youtube. if anybody gets a video to embed, which its actually not an embed because an embed would use embed properties, and just the source of a file is not an embed property. i think this is misleading, as it would have us all tend to believe that we could 'embed' which is not the case, this is a youtube stream only from what i can tell.
