groups-events maps

hello all,

 I would like to know if is possible to integrate a map in groups with fans and the same with events page.

I second the above. Especially map. Also, instead of putting location only, it would be great to be able to put a full address, so that a google map could show the actual location of the venue. Since we have the map on the profile as well, it should be fairly easy to implement, no?

Yes it is a dead link and yes both of you are correct and this is something the world map should be all about but there seems to be several glitches in the world map design.  The biggest and most annoying part and in my opinion is a bug at it's highest level is the fact that if you zero in on the Exact Geocode for an Event, Ad, or group and you go through the coding up to that point and click on the correct location on the map it will send the correct geocodes to the database GREAT, HELL YA, and Fantastic.  As a person who is positive that if a person is having an event and the location on the map is used to convey that place on the map you will have an issue BC the code used will change that that location if you make any changes to that event or anything that you entered and took the task of lasering in on the top of the roof of that event. 

They have codes based on finding something close based on the Zip Code I assume that thinks it is on the front side of the entry of that event no matter where you are in the process of entering the event.  The work around is to do the map last and I mean very last and then never change the event not even a letter or you will be redirected.     

If people come to my site and rely on the map which they need to do there should NEVER EVER be a guess of where the event is. 

I have a map programmer if anyone else is interested who can without question fix this issue but I think he will suggest dropping the world map and starting over with a new world map which can be tied to all the geocodes that the site produces.  There are so many very cool features that can be added like directions, area attractions, searchabilty and many more very useful functions. I guess we will have to work on being able to submit it correctly but the guy is a Google Map Expert.
