header.inc.php Chmod

Hello. What is the chmod for the /inc/header.inc.php? On my server it is 666 but should it be 644?

Thanks. It is currently 666. There was an exploit attempt lately. Might that malicous attempt be the cause of 666 chmod? Do I need a fresh Dolphin install?

It might also be /ray/modules/global/inc/header.inc.php

It seems like there are a number of files in /ray/modules/global/inc people are after, content.inc.php or constants.inc.php seem to be a popular hit.

Also /plugins/safehtml and /plugins/safehtml/HTMLSax3/ files in those folders and I a while back even something in tiny_mce folder too.

If you used some kind of auto installer script and your host runs php as apache module and you can't change the permission with ftp client or other then most likely it's because your hosts setup with apache as module. If using a scirpt to set permissions with apache module will set the owner as the server not your account. When this happens you cannot change the permission without contacting your host to set the file back to owner/your account.

If you have a setup where php is run through cgi then a auto installer / script will still keep the permissions owned by your account and you can change the permissions with ftp client.

So if your host has php as apache module avoid the auto installers/auto chmod's they will set the permissions to nobody/99/server.

If you have php run through cgi you will probably be alright.

Either way just contact your host and tell them x-file you can't change the file permission you think it is 99'd/owned by the server and you need it set back to your account and they will do it for you.
