hi,anyone knows how to add one more admin

Hi, I have pictures that cropped at sides due to boonex .

after some tweaks, now pictures are not cropping but what ever already cropped, I have to hire someone, and make him admin, so he can download and reupload them and reassign them as first picture, so site don't look like site of crops gifs but well defined pictures and no heads chopped off..

now can anyone guide me how to make someone , who already registered as admin, so he can edit pictures while I still retail rights of admin and do rest

thanks and regards

d

We've made a fix in Dolphin 7.3 which cropping only bottom of the image, not the top:

no heads chopped off

You could ask Deano to update his free Deanos Tools so it'll work with D7.2 ... it has as a Site Administrators tool that you can use to turn site members into admins (and back). See https://www.boonex.com/m/Deanos_Tools_V1_6_Dolphin_7_0_Version

Boonexpert has an excellent module called Multi Admin Access ($49) that will allow you to add/remove admins and specify how much admin access they have, i.e. which admin features/tools they can use.  See https://www.boonex.com/m/multi-admin-access

Im not sure if there is a different or correct way but what I did was add another membership level.

You can add a full admin, meaning all rights to do anything in the backend by changing their role in the database to 3.  However, they can do anything in the backend that you can do.

If you want to do moderation, that can be done through Memberships.

Then there is the Mult Admin module above that limits what one can do in the backend.

Geeks, making the world a better place

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
