hidden groups confussing

I want only some of my friends access to a hidden group I have and the others not to be able to see it but I can't work out how to do I find how to do it. I find the view fans/members/friends/default very very confussing.

Can anyone explain?

• Fans: members of the group
• Members: members of the site
• Friends: your friends (from your friend list)
• Default: whatever your default setting is, you select your own default from your priv. group settings

In addition you can make your own privacy group and add/subtract whoever you want to that group and name it whatever you want. Then it should be available as an option as well.

The easiest way to make a group avail to a select group of people is to make it fans only and invite only. Then only the people you invite can join and see it.
