how myspace use to have bulletins that only your driends could see

i remember wayyyy back on myspace they had "bulletins" it was a block on the front page that you could post a bulletin that only the people on your friends list could see, is there a mod for dolphin like this?

I don't know of any but can be created.

it would be a block on the front page just like the blogs, the only wicked programing would be that every block would be different for every user, cause every user would onlu see their post or the post of people on their friends list

please tell me i am not the only person that was active on myspace 5 years ago that remembers the "bulletins"

for me i dont mind doing it ... seems like a cool idea after all

I had one for D6 that i did not quite finish when D7 was released. Maybe i should revive it.

man it seems like myspace was ages ago, i talk to others about feature myspace had in its golden years and sometimes i feel like a war hero talking about nam or something i bet in another 5 years ill get that look in my eye and say things like "I WAS THERE MAN, I SEEN SOME THINGS"

there was one for D6 long ago... and if i know who had it i would of gave it to you.. i will look.. as i use to have it for my old D6, but never liked how it looked like..

and i do remember the old bulletin - but i know i saw one not long ago before it was takin down... i will again, look around and ask my friend if he as copy of it.. and if so i will upload it.. as i don't have need to use it.. i will post back soon... ..

no im still scared to even look at 7.1 in fear of all my hard work and current modules no longer working,, i was gonna let a few other sites take the switch then take a look at it myself.. guess i might have a look this weekend and maybe look at switching one of my small sites over

 Im testing some modules now, the RPX seems to work although that is not that important.

I do know it's all about the templates now.

Hopefully you will like the new timeline, most do.

nah im using 7 but when i updated to 7.9 it took me a week to get everything back they way i have it with my modules, template and certain edits i have made,, so that is why im being cautious on this,, i have looked at the 7.1 pranshank got up and going and it looks neat, more eye candy then anything i think,, but the timline has me on the fence i mean i like ti but it is very facebookish and to be honest i think the whole timeline has hurt facebook more then been an improvement
