instalation problem - image magic

Hi, I just tried to reinstall because I couldn't get my database transfered to my vps accont correctly. When I get to the paths check screen I get the error that image magic is not installed in the following directories. /usr/local/bin/mogrify, /usr/local/bin/convert, /usr/local/bin/composite.

Can someone tell me where I can find these directories? I have looked but cant find them. Would this be my cgi-bin and I would have to make the folders? Do I create a folder called bin?

Man learning this VPS is like cramming for a college exam.

ImageMagick must be installed onto your system.  Google their website.  They have step by step instructions on how to install it onto your system.  If you still need help, feel free to contact me.

I've gone to the website via the link in the setup and goten the download. When I asked hostgator about this they said it was a modual that they have installed by default. The problem is that I'm not sure if I have the ability to add new moduals on my vps account with new host. Is there another way to do this? I have Virtualmin on vps account. Do you know how to add moduals on this? Can't get ahold of new host until tonight.

Howdy,

When you are logged in and you click my name, you should get a link to send me messages. :D

You should have root access to your vps.  You can log into SSH via Putty, wget the file to your server, then follow the instructions to install it onto your vps.... If this is greek to you, feel free to Email me at support@dolphininstalls.com and I will see if I can help you out.

HOWEVER!!!  If they say they already have installed it, then write them back with info from the installation screen stating that Dolphin reports ImageMagick is not installed and what directory Dolphin is looking for it at.  Perhaps they can make things right with that information.

If not, contact me and I will help you further.

Thanks!
