install procedure after migration is done

I know this must be somewhere in the forum, but I just cant find it.

I completed the migration of my 6.1.6 to my new d7, which is located within the original site folder (mysite.com/d7migrate/).

Now how do I get it put where it belongs, at just mysite.com?Undecided

Hello, move your new dolphin site location instead of old. Than you should open inc/header.inc and change some values like this :
$site['url']               = "http://localhost/repository/";
$dir['root']               = "D:/wamp/www/repository/";

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

Can you be a little more detailed?! I just  moved my new7 (fully migrated) along side my original (6.1.6)and none of the migration work came with it....no pix, video, nothing but the home page and now the admin doesnt work fully either? And I did rename those values as you said. Th screen displays file not found. And now I dont see it within the file manager.????

how exactly was I supposed to "move" the file?

It DOES seem like the media is all in there maybe. But according to the "file not found" display when I click on a pic or video.....it seems to be looking for it under the original name I named it (d7migrate).

When I originally installed, I used softalicious and it put d7 named d7migrate) into a subfolder of the original site. So it looked like this: http:mysite.com/d7migrate to access it. I fully completed the migration successfully,  then simply moved it up a level in the file manager next to mysite.com, renamed it and changed those values you mentioned. It seemed to have worked, but all the files it searches for are under the d7migrate name still.
