installation

While trying to install Dolphin on my VPS I am being told :-
"This file has inappropriate permissions: flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe".

I have checked with my host and they say FFMPEG is already installed on my VPS in the following location :-
ffmpeg: /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg

Can you please advise how I therefore get past the first installation step.

My most sincere thanks

Geoff

ffmpeg should have 777 permission. Go to the Dolphin download page on Boonex and read the instructions.

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

Dolphin uses its own ffmpeg binary, which is located under ./flash/modules/global/app/ and must be set (as said) to 777 permission.

Changing to 777 permissions works.  Here's how to fix it if you have HostGator:

1. Go to File Manager

2. Go to the folder where you install Dolphin

3. Go though the folders by following this path: flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe

4. Click on ffmpeg.exe

5. Click on "Change Permissions" at the top of the page

6. Check all boxes so they equal "7, 7, and 7".

7. That should do it!  Good Luck!
