join form in promo block??

is it possible to place the join fields that are on the join page and put them in the promo block on the index.php page ??

pretty much what i want is people to first land on the inex.php page and be able to either login (if a member) or join (non member) from the promom block and not need to go to the join page or use any other blocks on the index.php page other than the promom block,

 thanks, i have that mod but is there a way i can put it to display on one side of the promo block and not just in it's own block on index.php? as i want a picture on the other side of it, cheers
