join or regirtration page problem

is it possible to add a state select field in the miscellaneous info in the join/registration form?

And to answer your second question:

 

1.  Go to Admin => Settings => Predefined Values and create the field you would like, for states you need to create a state list

 

LKey      Key1

 

AL         Alabama

 

Note, you will hve to do this for all 50 states, just one list.

 

Now, go to Admin => Builders =>Field Builders => Join

 

Drag a New Item box from the inactive fields to the Active Fields and place it below Miscellaneous (Use the 3rd group of items down to get your New Item Box, not the middle section)

 

Click on it so it opens

 

Label it States and so on.

 

Go to the Advanced Tab, for states enter this:

 

#!States

 

This will call the Predefined field States that you inputted.

 

Now, save it

 

Go to Account, Profile, Search and add the item to each of those pages by dragging it from inactive to active.  Open it on each page and reenter the Caption "State" or else it will display _New_Item_Caption_State_ instead on the page.  Save it and the Language keys will update.
