join.php

Hi,

My Host have changed  "/home/nomorelo/public_html/profile.php" to> "profile.php.SUSPEND "'

without my permission and ever since I am getting the following ''http://nomorelonely.com/join.php' is giving the error message 'Not Found The requested URL /profile.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.''

1.- It seems my host knowingly or inadvertently prevented the new members to join the site.

2.- As I am uneducated on the script, I am not able to correct the situation. As I have backed up my files, I am planning to delete the 'profile.php.SUSPEND'  text/x-generic and see whether I can correct the situation.

3.- I believe some of us suffer in finding hosts who can provide large resources on a shared hosting.

4.- I intend to change my host and also upgrade Dolphin 7 script to Dolphin 7.0.9 and transfer my profiles only with pictures to the upgraded script at the new host.

Any comments and support will be welcome.

The delation of  the 'profile.php.SUSPEND'  text/x-generic' did not solve the problem.

Your host renamed the file because it was using too many resources (I'm assuming).. but you can't rename Dolphin core files and expect the scrip to continue to function.

What I can't figure out is why your host would handle it that way, did they email you and tell you your account was suspended?

To fix the problem you would just rename the file back to its original name or upload a new one... but if your host isn't going to allow you to run Dolphin they are just going to rename them again.

Thank you mscott,

No they did not suspend at this time, though they've done it previously. So I reckon I've have no choice but move on.

Thanks

Did they at least mention something about it?  Kind of seems weird for a host to silently suspend someone (or at least tamper with their account).

Hi  Nathan Paton,

I suspect they may have acted upon the history of the website which sucked most of the resources of the shared hosting. But no, not immediately, but previously they have had let me know of the problem at least on two occasions.

I suspect they may also have changed the name of the member.php and join.php and I've lost the mails as my PC crushed previously and I've lost my previous back ups as well. Consequently I am not able to restore from the previous versions of my back ups.

I've decided already to move on to another host therefore won't care that much. My main concern is to transfer the profiles from the other host and that profiles with pictures only. However I've face two questions with that:

1.- Facebook joins is one of the problem.

2.- I can't filter the profiles so that I may transfer profiles with pictures only.
