language key error

When trying to insert a new language key I am getting the following error:

Error: Could not insert a new language key

Nor will it recompile the language files. What do I need to do to fix this?

you need to change permissions for langs directory to 777

Hy,

can it be that there is already a Language key for another language defined?
I f.ex. get this error if I already defined _Fieldxxxx for englisch language and

try to add same language key for german language.

I then delete the one for english language, make a new one with the same

key name and define the values for english and german.

This works for me (so Permissions are correct).
