language string missing and cannot change password

I am missing the language string search in my Language Settings menu.

I have to manually go to the language file to edit the Copyright Your Company Text.

Am I not looking at the right places?

Also I cannot seem to change the admin password

It always gives me an error stating "Wrong New Password"

what the heck?

In language settings, enter copywrite and click the check box marked apply. It should return a string you can edit.

If you change the language file manually, it will be lost the next time you compile the language settings, so it has to be done from admin.

As for the password. There is a password change for admin in the admin panel itself. If thats the one not working then try going to admin profile setting page on the site itself. The same area normal users go to change their password. And try changing it there.

Others have had problems changing it from admin as well.

I changed the password in the profile page but it never registered. I am still logging in with the same password I had since the beginning. Also certain fields do not allow me to save profile even though I had it unchecked for mandatory inside the admin panel. whats the solution?

Don't have problem with passwords but where is the string editor that used to be under the languages area.  I don't have anything like that under languages anymore???

Its not exactly a string editor, it called "Look For:" and in the text box, type the word copyright and put a check mark in the apply box. Then click edit next to the string it brings up. Remove Your Company and replace with whatever you want.
