Is there some mod for D7 which is able similar functionality like livejasmin site ? I mean paid access (pay pe view) to user webcams ?: I have been searching in market but seem there is nothing like that for dolphin which seems a bit surprising for me ....

Hello freakpower Dolphin is one of the best scripts on the market to build in a fast time a Dating site, but trust me to build a site like Livejasmin based on it is the wrong way. Don't forget you need different back-end parts like: private cam person, agency, administrator, affiliate, accounting and and and.... I know it, we're building one such site at the moment :-) all paid scripts who exist are not usable if you want to earn money with the site. The next problem is the streaming self, we go to use FMES 4 Server with p2p (RTMFP) Streaming and fallback to RTMP if p2p is not possible this help us save a much on bandwidth cost. One cam session need over RTMP around 3-4 mbps depending on quality you choose. A nice add-on is if you offer free shows you can distribute the p2p streaming to multiple sub-visitors if they have Flash 10.1 installed and you use FMES 4. |

thanks for ur replies. nenad: well there is one extension which enable users to have live cam feed from their cam right in their profile using standard ray madia server. I think that should be not so big problem to add some time counter and use some credit system to allow/disable views for cams based on prepaid amount. YOu are right simplier is simple make a subscription that allows view of all webcams - but this way looks loike less money can be earned. I think standard pay per view is more money maker ...
There is actually one good paid standalone script that actually really works but is very expensive ... like 8.000 usd for 100 users license and even much more for unlimited :-( + cost of FMS hosting is almso very high |
