probably going to be hard pressed to find any free D7 templates at the moment. http://www.gorpus.com/templates_7.php there is one location, and you can check the other one that i know about. that provides a few resources. I just love it when someone finds a free template, makes a few minor css changes, then puts it up for sale in the Market for $31.50: My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
well HL what is more impressive is this site is supposedly a Christian site tsk tsk http://demo.cogzideltemplates.com/free/dolphin/Dolphin7/templates/tmpl_free002/images/common_c.jpg http://thechurchyard.net//templates/tmpl_beta2/images/common_c.jpg it does appear at least he was able to find where to change the name of the template and actually get it to work on his site. Well.... he didn't even change the name of the template directory 'tmpl_beta2' This template appeared on cogzideltemplates.com a long time ago. I should know... I use it on my site. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
This is Expertzzz.com all over again. The 'Market' has been open for only a few days now, and we already have this crap going on. GMAFB! My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
This is Expertzzz.com all over again. The 'Market' has been open for only a few days now, and we already have this crap going on. GMAFB! bad thing is there is 0 moderation on the market, for that matter, no moderation on the site at all. I had a bad feeling that when they started switching over from expertzzz to here they would quit moderating the "extensions". Next thing you know Buxton161/KMD will start moving his garbage over. |
I don't think this can be effectively controlled. Every site that allows selling of stuff is going to have their share of scammers. Even ebay has it. Of course they at least deal with reports of scammers and remove the problem products. https://www.deanbassett.com |
At least there's a report option now. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
I don't think this can be effectively controlled. Every site that allows selling of stuff is going to have their share of scammers. Even ebay has it. Of course they at least deal with reports of scammers and remove the problem products. deano, i think there should be some other method of approval to offer your products for sale. allowing just anybody to sign up for $10.00/lifetime and be able to post to the market is not conducive to warding off theives. this person joined, and immediately had a mod for sale, has no forum posts, no blog posts, no other interaction with the community other than posting stolen property to the market. i have reported the product, i have contacted the member informing him that the product that he has uploaded is in violation of Creative Commons and to please take down his offering. i do think that with the proper number of moderators, this can be certainly lessened that what was so rampant on expertzzz also when selling a product, if you get x negative votes on the product it should automatically remove from the market. (that needs to be suggested), dont think its a feature. HL you are right, it can be voted on even though you have not purchased it, i think that is a flaw, because i know we went through the whole ( - ) escapade last year, with somebody logging and and just hitting every blog post with a negative vote. so i dont see this feature as being positive. the fact you can report it, yes that is a good thing, but what is going to come of the report? i dont see the report listed in my moderation area. when i try to view reported extensions, here is what i see. Cannot complete query (getAll): When a GIG is not enough --> Terabyte Dolphin Technical Support - Server Management and Support |
I have no problem with your suggestions. https://www.deanbassett.com |
I have no problem with your suggestions. I fully agree with you about not letting a mod or any other product sit for months without looking at them. There are those of us who like jt and myself, will be able to review certain uploads, then there are others that will require testing before they go on the market. just to allow anybody and you know what i mean by that, to upload and sell something for $150.00 with no developer feedback and no proof that it even works, would be detrimental. i dont have the exact answers on how this should work, i know it can be complex, specifically dealing with the number of people that visit this site. but just a pre-approval is not the best approach either. how this person ended up joining, becoming premium, and offering a product for sale all in one day is certainly not the answer, considering the product was not his to sell. The report option allows us to make a public comment in a negative sense, but I'd like to be able to post a positive comment as well, without having to buy the product. I would definitely post a positive comment about 'Deanos Basic Black' template, because it's nicely done, original work, and is supported by a well known and respected member of this community. (I may buy that Basic Black template) My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
