There is no default feature that does this. There is however an Auto Messaging mod that facilitates this.

You could just run a mysql query that would change the accept mail option on everyone to yes, then use the mass mailer. This defeats the purpose of letting people select if they want to accept mail or not... but so does mailing everyone who hasn't subscribed to the list.

In reality, Dolphin should automatically place all members into the subscribed list, that only makes sense, or provide the admin the ability to auto transfer members to the subscribed list.

This way when you send an email to subscribers it could include all your members if you so desired.

By default a new member will be automatically signed up to your site, you can check it here: table profiles, EmailNotify is set to1.

Subscribers box at the the homepage is usually used to visitors.

When you will send a email (Tools -> Mass Mailer ) then you have the ability to choose to send email to either subscribers or members or both, this way you can have different content in your email to subscribers and members.

When you send email to members you can also choose between man/woman, age from/age to, country and membership levels.

yes, OK is correct on this. the subscribe function, is not really intended for members. since there is not a requirement to be logged in to subscribe.

there is also a problem with that, because there is nowhere for one to opt-out, and this should really be a double opt-in solution, because in essence, you can put anybody email address in there, and then your site could be tagged for spamming.

I wish they would bring back the mailer they had in dolphin 6 that was underneath the members list in the admin panel.  You could check the member(s) you wanted the message to go to, and type the message in the box below, click and send.  It was so much more convenient for a smaller site like mine.
