Hi all

I have noticed the following when I uninstall any module and re-install it again. The data published before uninstalling has gone after reinstall the mod. example, I have uploaded many mp3 files in sounds mod and I uninstall and then re-install it; all files published gone in front-end, but in back-end I can see the records were not deleted.

Is this normal? and is there a way to keep published data unchanged and republished automatically after re-installing the mod. because I don't want to loose my data every time I update or re-install any mods.

When you uninstall a module, all data related to that module is (or should be) removed as well. I'm aware of a few tickets meant to fix the problem with files not actually being deleted.

Why are you uninstalling and reinstalling modules?
