memberships & payments

when signing up, i want to give my users the option to select a standard membership option at $9.99 per month

or a promotional membership option free for 30 days, then default to the standard membership level after the 30

days are up. this should be so simple to do, but i just cant figure out how to set the price and duration of the

standard and promotional membership levels. i am a socialengine convert and these things were so easy to do

before. any help would be much appreciated.

You can set membership levels in settings/membership levels to do what you want I think, but your member's can't do it on sign up.  Lots of us thought this was important also, but as I understand it, it is not planned until D7.1.   Until then, your members will have to sign up first, and then upgrade to one of the membership levels after they are already members.

oh wow! that's not good. thanks for the info. i figured this most basic membership/payment option would

be available by now. not sure what to do now :(
