menu bar problem

Can anyone please help

im using d7.0.9

I want to change the background of my member menu popup bubble to a grey color. i have changed the color of the outer parts of the bubble via /templates/base/images/member_menu_desc_??

The problem is i cant change the color of the middle of the bubble where the text appears . i have tried changing spacer.gif but that didn't work. Ive looked in /base/member_menu_descr_window.html

If this isn't going to be an easy fix can someone tell me how to change the text color on the bar bubbles only, to black

Have you tried to use the browser plugin "Firebug" and find where that is?

When using Firebug to edit css files, make sure you turn off all your cache features.

That's not going to be a *.gif or in an html page, that is in the css sections.

Many thanks newton27, that worked a treat. I found it in /base/css/general.css change background color.
