migration tool from 6.1.6 to 7.0

Hi, 'we currently have a 4000 members site running in 6.1.6, we are trying to migrate all users to the new 7.0 following all the steps provided in the documentation page. We have installed a fresh install of dolphin 7.0 in the same server that we currently have the old site. What we are experiencing is that it starts the migration process and actually moves about 1400 members to the new site, but then it stops. It simply does not process all the 4000 users and when I go to the module it stays (in process) and never goes away.

What could be the cause of this problem? can someone point me to the right direction?

Thanks

Francisco

Hello!

Possible trouble in disallowed content in some of old `Profiles` but migration script should show similar issues. Check ur bug report email (any errors messages there) and Cron Jobs - possible they jsut stopped to work. If everything is OK then check first from list of unmigrated users in old `Profiles` table - may be he has some specific symbols in `Description` filed for example.

Hi and thanks for your answer!

You say disallowed content in some of the old profiles, but what exactly should I have to look for? Is there a log where I can look for a hint of what is happening in this migration process?

Hello, I think PHP process was stopped  because he need more memory size, is a very common mistake. Check all you log messages with like as :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes
exhausted (tried to allocate 256 bytes)

if you will find it just say about to you hosting provider and make fresh installation.

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

Thanks.... Initially, I had the php.ini local value setup as 128MB using .htaccess however after changing/increasing the master value from the defauly 8mb to 128 in the php.ini itself, then migration/transfer went smoothly...
