need copy of orca forum AND chat please.

for some reason the orca forum and chat do not work with the dolphin 7.0.9 that I downloaded.  So, I tried to find help by posting in the forum and tried to find help through submitting a ticket.  Nobody seems to know how to help me. So, if someone could send me a copy of the chat and orca forum files, that would be awesome!  Thanks!

There really is no point. The forum and messenger files in the dolphin 7.0.9 zip file are exactly the same ones that we all have. There would be no difference. So i cannot understand the purpose of your request as it will not make a difference.

Deano is correct... if you think your files are corrupted why don't you just download a fresh copy from here?

I did download a copy from here to see if it would work.  But for some reason they just don't work.  I'm so confused because everyone seems to have working forums and chat rooms, but mine won't work.  Is there a setting that I'm not aware of that must be set after installation?  I do have chat and forums modules installed.

No there is not. But the server must meet dolphin requirements.

However i went to your forums and they seem to be populated so the buttons you say don't work in your other post must have worked at some point it time.

And you should not have started a new topic. I had to hunt for your old one to see the origional report. With missing information we cannot do much.

When buttons don't work then that usally indicates some kind of a javascript error. Have you tried more than one browser as it can be browser releated also.

The link to manage forums you provided in your other topic we obviously cannot check as that is a admin only feature.

yes. I tried using IE and firefox and still the same results. I went to my database and deleted the forums.  I'm not sure how they were able to post these ads.  I am unable to post in a test profile or admin.

trying to find the option

Quote · 2 Mar 2012

It's not a option. It's available in my Module Deanos Tools. Otherwise it's done by hand in phpMyAdmin in the Profiles table change the role from 1 to 3

Then clear the dolphin cache.

In firefox if you open the error console you will see clicking the links generates a javascript error orca_admin is undefined

Currently looking for a cause and solution.

To fix your forums i turned off JS caching and JS compression in admin->settings->advanced settings->template

For some reason js compression does not work on some servers. And i really do not know the reason why.

I mentioned what you said about the server...  Just so people know...if they are using hostforweb as your hosting provider and have dolphin 7.0.4 and above, the rms server is, rms704.hfw.us
