new members unable to join?

Hi all, another quickie (I hope)

Been notified today that people are unable to join the D7.2.1 site:

Can get through initial join stage but fails on additional info page

all fields filled correctly, Read terms box ticked,

Click join and the red exclamation mark comes up next to join button

No other red exclamation marks next to field boxes.

Really appreciate some help

Your join page only has password. It is missing username.

I know Robbie but i have no idea why,

it has full name field in the additional info page

Any idea how i can rectify the missingg user name on initial join page?

What version was you previoiusly running before updating to 7.2.1? or did you install the full version of 7.2.1 instead of update pack?

Have replaced username in the fileds builder but problem persists :( are there any more fields which MUST be included ie: Description?, post code?

Here is a fix.. i had a similar problem before. make sure ... when you go to builders / profile fields on your admin panel that the recaptcha is on the second page. I have attached an image of how mine is and i am using 7.2.1.

should solve your problem.

captcha needs to go under misc... in the second column. That will fix the blockage

Was on 7.1.6 the upgrade to 7.2.1 was done by the hosts over a week ago

had no problems at all until today

Just added all the fields i'd removed in fields builder, cleared cache and still the join button on "additional info page" returns with the red exclamation mark.

Now have three cols in fields builder: Captcha is now bottom of 2nd col and security image alone in 3rd col.

Yes Robbie it is or at least i hope so, i just joined up under a different name and all went okay. Give it a go and let me know how it goes lol

Good stuff glad its ok now... will give it a try and test sign up tomorrow.. im shattered now ive worked 15 hours as it is today. Will let you know if I find any probs then ;)
