no confirmation email

Ready to allow signups but the system doesn't send a confirmation email. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place it is set to send confirmation email. Please help. Thanks.

Thank you once again. I have "Automatic profile confirmation without Confirmation Email" unchecked already, but it doesn't send an email. Do I have to uncheck,"Automatic profile activation after joining" as well? I would like them to auto activate but also confirm email. Is that Possible? You rock. You have been a ton of help to me. RumpyBumpy rules!

I do notice an anomaly though  .....
the system sends a "New user confirmed" email regardless of the settings.

My installation DOES send the email when I have the "Automatic profile confirmation without
Confirmation Email" cleared so not sure why yours doesn't.

NOTE: ..... Do not post multiple posts for the same problem.

Do you get any emails at all from the installation?

Did you setup the cron jobs?

No, I did not get any emails. I did the cron jobs when I set up 6.1.2. Do I have to redo them for 6.1.3 & 6.1.4?  

I checked them and they are the same as the instalation instruction page.

I don't feel that crons is the issue as the join messages are
sent instantly without going through the queue.

Do this  .....  go to Admin > users > members profiles > check an

active (green) profile and just send a test email to see if successful.

This is sent immediately also and if you don't receive then somethings wrong
with the mail sending  .....

I just did a fresh install of 6.1.4 because I was having problems with emails being sent.

The new install doesn't send confirmation emails.

I changed the settings in Moderation Settings

"Automatic profile confirmation without Confirmation Email" is the only unchecked box.

I also tried to send emails using Admin> Users > Members Profiles, but still nothing.
