one way search/view feature?

Is there any such module that can have users who register only be able to view their type of criteria as well as search ability?

I.E. type 1 user: Doctor/ type 2 user: Patient

Doctors can view other doctors and search around to find patients only (or be able to see other dr's which is fine).

Patients can view other patients but can only search for doctors.

you could use membership splitter and then use advanced page access to restrict who can view what.

 So the search ability will be limited to as viewable by one type?

Is advanced page access a feature on dolphin itself or a module?
