page rank for dolphin website

Hello every one,

My website http://www.booksadicto.com which is a social networking site for book readers and lovers.

The site is one and half  years  old.

The page rank of the site was zero for a long time and suddenly 2 days back the page rank showed 4.

I dont know how the PR has increased any Ideas??? what is the funda behind page rank???

PR doesn't hold the credibility it used to. If you plan on selling advertising space, you could use your PR as a selling point, and it would also help if you planned on selling the site. Nowadays, it's your backlinks that make your site more popular, more so then  PR.
