Has anyone integrated this successfully? How did you set up the database?

Thanks :)

why you didn't ask it from module's owner?

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

I did ask :) Hasn't responded yet. Need a solution now, so I'm trying to figure out how to do it by asking if anyone has done it before.

yes it's been done, cost you around 175-200 US bucks...

they (module creators) are not going to tell how to do this for free..lol

tons of modifications.. good luck

I purchased the module from Esase. Instructions are not well documented. Says you need to install phpbb database in the same database as dolphin. Setting up phpbb does not have an option to do that. Only a new database. Which leads me to my first question. :)

I just asked the same question on the module site. Hopefully I can get an answer there or maybe I can get a hold of Esase.

Thanks for your help. :)

I don't know where you got that phpbb integration, but it's not a very good one.  It's not good to have it in an iframe.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

my experience with that mod put in an iframe is that it creates an issue with sessions and cookies, is not a real good solution when considering an integration. integrate and <iframe> are not the same level of standard.

so to put the phpbb database tables in the same database as dolphin, you would open phpmyadmin (if you have that) and select the database that your dolphin is running on, then you will see a tab that says import. you will import the sql file for phpbb into the dolphin database.

@DosDog and @HoustonLively:  Thank you two for your feedback on phpBB3 and Dolphin 7 integration.

Do either of you have any recommendations on a current best practice for phpBB 3 / Dolphin 7 integration?  Is there  a mod created that can do what either of you would recommend?  If so, which mod?

If no mod is available with your recommendation for a best practice, which mod is the best alternative to the phpBB3 / Dolphin integration?

Warm regards.
