This is a note I wrote to teh maker of the mod you speak of yet I never heard back.  Matter of fact I wrote twice.  This message below is a more detailed message I sent to him a few weeks ago.

I am very interested in buying your mod.  Just had a few questions.

With our dolphin install we have people that register and have very limited access to several dolphin areas.  These users are automatically placed in the Standard membership level.  Now these same users we would not want to be able to use the forums. We would want the account to get merged to phpbb3 but the standard member should be able to use the forums until they pay like we force on several sections of the dolphin site.  We were thinking of creating groups within phpbb3 but I don't see how your mod would be able to determine which group within phpbb3 to merge the account to from the dolphin side.  I know that each account on Dolphin would be in one of three membership levels,

Standard

Deluxe

Premium

Is there a way your mod would be able to not only extract the user info from dolphin but also place that account in to a particular group within phpbb3?  For simplicity I could create the same three names we use in dolphin as group names within phpbb3.

One other thing.  If we change the membership level of a dolphin user say from Standard to Deluxe because they have paid, is there a way that the group for that same member can be upgraded within phpbb3? For example if someone creates an account in Dolphin they are put into the membership level Standard.  Say they come back in a couple of days and decide to pay to join.  They are then automatically upgraded to Deluxe.  But when they first signed up they are added to phpbb3.  let's say you have a solution to the first paragraph above and assume that the member has been added to phpbb3 into the group Standard..  We would want the Standard member in Dolphin that just upgraded to Deluxe to automatically be upgraded within phpbb3 as well. If there paid membership expires in Dolphin again we would need phpbb3 to be downgraded. I hope this one made sense.

Since in the dolphin system the user will contain their profile there.. we want the forum to point forum members to teh dolphin profile when someone clicks on their name in a forum post.  Instead of the way it works now is if you click on the name of a forum poster you will see that persons phpbb profile instead of dolphin profile.

Is there a number I may reach you at as well?  Maybe we could discuss these things quicker.  We are under the gun to get the dolphin and phpbb3 working together the right away.

Yeah I did have a problem getting a hold of  him, I know he doesn't work (on  the mods) over on weekends.


But he will respond and he will do changes to his mod. For a price of course.
