please help upgrade from 705 to 706

Hello everyone,

Please help me. This is scary and I am so nervous. Because I am not sure so I ask here first before doing the upgrade from 705 to 706

O.k I download the zip 7.0.6 I also down load the Upgrade Instructions from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6 - I put them on 2 separate folders on my pc ready to upload.

I do not need to install a complete scripts correct? I believed I do not need to, but just ask to be sured.

I think I need to upload the "Upgrade files and folders after download the zip correct?

so these are the folders in "UPgrade patchs"

Flash, Inc, Media, Modules, Templates, Upgrade, xmlrpc

---------- Upgrade Instructions from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6 below

Step 1: Download and extract  Dolphin-Patch-v.7.0.6 and upload its files to your current installation,
replacing all old files. Make sure that old files were REALLY replaced -
site can become nonfunctional at all if old files are still in place. I did not see any files but only folders. I knew there are files and sub-folder in side each of these folders. My question is. for example: I am going to rename the original Flash folder on my server to flash-old --- then upload the new flash folder to the server - is this correct ?

if this is correct do i do the same to the rest of the folders which i need ???

Step 4: Apply all available updates. The script detects suitable updates automatically. so i just  follow insturctions on screen to do this correct?

Step 6: Sites module Access Key and Password were reset - now you need to register your own Access Key and Secret Key. how do I know what mine are???

this is why I am asking becuase I am confuse  on steps 1 & 4 & 6

For step one. Do not rename any of your existing folders. Make backups of them instead. In other words, copys of them but leave the originals intact.

The reason is the patch does not contain all files of dolphin. Just the updated ones, so if you rename a folder and upload the one from the patch, it will be missing a lot of files and the site will not run.

Step 4. Follow the instructions.

Step 6. The site module used to use keys that boonex had. shrinktheweb.com which creates the thumbnails for the sites module no longer allows this. You now have to have your own keys. So you will need to create an account at shrinktheweb.com to get your own keys to use for that module.

I just finishing the upgrade, and I am readin the IMPORTANT message.

IMPORTANT!!!
Automatic part of upgade is completed. Please do the following to complete upgrade process:

• Clean /cache/, /cache_public/ and /tmp/ folders via FTP or SSH, leave only .htaccess file there if one exists
• How do i clean cache/cache-public and TMP ??? I am in my filie zilla ftp
• Recompile language files for all modules from admin panel -> Tools -> Modules How do I recompile what link to click???
• Recompile system language file from admin panel -> Settings -> Languages Settings What do I do here???
• Recompile Orca Forum language file from admin panel -> Modules -> Orca Forum -> Manage Forum - I do not used Orcra any more I used PHPBB3 do I still need to do this???
• I singup with shrinktheweb.com and get my keys ---- where do I go to put these key so Sites mod will work???

I managed to get almost everything done and complete

except this

Recompile system language file from admin panel -> Settings -> Languages Settings---  what do I do when i am in this page? what do i click or type?

that is only question left, I did everything else and site is now on 7.0.6

Add a check to any languages listed on the page and click the compile button.

I onlu have eEnglish so I did click and click on compile. Nothing happened on the screen. is that mean it done?

thank you i have 7.0.6 hehehe and looks like all my 3rd parties mods are also working with out errors

The page should just reload. If you're not seeing any oddities, such as text that isn't compiled, you should be all set.
