presence D7

with D6 we have:

My account -  My Mail -  my profile -  My Presence -  Log Out

or is  My Presence in d7 ?

haven't used d6 what does my presence do?

To answer both of you:

danielmarseille - Im assuming you are wonder where the "My Presence" is at in D7. It has been complied into a "simple messenger" with an option to switch to video chat. When you login to D7, you will notice a yellow circle to the bottom left right next to your screen name. That is your "online status". To simple chat with someone, you have to go to that person's profile and under the Actions menu, type you chat message into the box and hit enter. That will start a simple chat with that person. In the chat box, you will see a link to switch to video chat, which allows you to use your webcam (same as My Presence). Hope that helps.

mauricecano - My Presence is a Instant Messenger program that allows you to chat with other members who are logged in without using the chat room (think of MSN messenger). It also has audio/video capabilities.

The word "Presence" is now used to name a block in the Dashboard page... In this block there are 4 links to set your connection status (online, offline, busy, away).

I think that the "floating thing" is showing who is connected (with his/her connection status). Sometimes I saw 4-5 times the same user nickname there. That was in some previous beta version, don't know if this problem was corrected or not...

Je pense que la "chose flottante" montre qui est connecté (avec son status de connexion). Quelques fois, j'ai vu là 4-5 fois le même pseudonyme. C'était dans une version beta précédente, je ne sais pas si ce problème a été corrigé ou pas...

Maintenant ça fait plus de deux ans que j'utilise dolphin et je commence a bien le connaître et c'est vraiment frustrant pour moi de ne pas parlé  ni comprendre l'anglais, car j'aimerais participé beaucoup plus.

Pour presence sur D7 j'ai bien compris le nouveau système ;)

Ce que je regrette un peu c"est d'avoir abandonné dans D7 l'ancien système avec la fenêtre popup qui s"ouvré quand on cliqué sur presence. je trouvé ce système de popup intéressant et qui apporte un peu de réactivité sur les sites dolphinD6

En plus c'est je crois la seule option dolphin qu'on ne retrouve pas sur les autres sites et que peut être aurait il  fallu la développé,  un peu comme sur ce site (ADULT)
