problem with installing modules

hey, I have a problem with my dolphin 7.0 based website.

I recently installed dolphin 7 on my localhost, going through the installtion clear, answearing all the prerequists of the apache, php and mysql applications on the server (localhost).

So now everything goes smoothe but when i install a new module (any module) it says it succeeded but when i try to access the feature is tells me that the desired path doesn't exist, after a quick check i found out that the installation of the module didn't create any new files or folders. I browsed through the internet for a solution but all the suggestions were about the rewrite mod of the apache which is already set...

Now i'm stuck and I would apprechiate your help very much!!!

You need mod_rewrite enabled for Apache. It's required for the permalinks to work.

Hey, thanks but,

i said in the post that it is enabled, i just managed every thing to work when i disabled the premalinks in the setting section, but this is not the ideal, any other suggestions?

Two possibilities:

  1. the .htaccess file is missing from the root directory of the installation; or
  2. you need to change "AllowOverride" from "None" to "All" in Apache's configuration file (httpd.conf).
