profile privacy Access denied

function a little weird - which can be regarded as a bug -

example

Profile 1 -  Edit profile privacy  - Who can see it: - friends
Profile 2 -  click to see the profile 2 -  Access denied
Non-Member  -  click to see the profile 2 -  Access denied

Profile 1 -  Edit profile privacy  - Who can see it: -members
Profile 2 -  click to see the profile 2 -  Access denied
Non-Member  -  click to see the profile 2 -  Access denied

Profile 1 - Edit profile privacy  -  friends or members

Profile 2  - click see the profile 2 - only  - access denied  --  no useful information

it would take two different message -

or a system like Facebook - where you can see the profile with the minimum information

there is a solution to this problem ?

I have members who have set their Profile Privacy (Who can see it:) to friends.
Obviously, the problem is that no one can see them to make them friends.

Absolutely agree with this ! This is a very important function for every kind of social network which must be both secure and easy to use for members ! Actually no one can request friendship from a profile set as "only visible by friends" ! this is a none sense ! By this time, no programer seems to be interested in creating such a mod. I've already post this problem in forum :

At the least there should be a seperate message something like

 "This profile has been marked private to friends only. Click Here to send a friend request to this member"

Still waiting for a programer to develop this feature !

Finally find a solution in boonex tickets for dolphin 7.0 version !!! Some very sharp modifications to do in some files : So, make a backup of your files and follow carefully the instructions. I've done it and it works ! Private profiles show now a little block with actions : Send message, send to a friend and, most of all BE FRIEND REQUEST !!!
