register_globals is On

HI Guys

I am new here just installing dolphin

i get this message

register_globals is On (warning, you should have this param in Off state, or your site will unsafe)

i created a php.ini file in it i put

register_globals=off

didn't work

any advice ?

You could try asking your host if they would (pretty please with sugar on top) shut it off.

so back to step 1

Since they're saying you're on your own, does that mean, by chance, that you're on a dedicated server?

i am using a hosting company

i finally fixed it by creating a php.ini file

the content is one line    register_globals=off

i placed it in the install folder and issue is resolved
