shrinktheweb updates needs dolphin update?

I signed up for my own shrinktheweb account, just as 7.0.6 said to do. I entered the Access Key and the Secret Key, just as instructed. And all of the thumbnails for existing sites  are still there. However, when adding a new site, there isn't a thumbnail created and refreshing does nothing at all. I did some research and found this which seems to imply that something in the coding needs to be tweaked in order to accommodate the changes that shrinktheweb has made in the past month: http://www.shrinktheweb.com/content/dolphin-70x-integration-help.html

Which leads to the following questions (hopefully not rhetorical questions!):

  1. Is there  something in the coding, beyond just entering the Access Key and the Secret Key in the backend, that I need to change/update?
  2. Or are we just left w/ another feature that doesn't work w/o a module or patching it ourselves as best we can?
  3. If there isn't a fix to make it work, is there a way to disable the shrinktheweb feature all together so that it doesn't appear to be a broken feature to the end users of our sites?

Hello!

We have heard from several users who would like to see a better integration with our service and we would like that also! Therefore, we have launched a contest for Dolphin developer's to get that accomplished, drum up some friendly competition, and reward the lucky winners. If you know any "Dolphin" developer gurus, be sure to point them to the announcement "Note":

Thanks!
