can dolphin be used without having the sign up/login page? Is there a way to eliminate having to do sign up or login?

Yes, are you thinking of using it more like a CMS?  Dolphin is a social networking application, if you are not going to use it as a social network platform, I would suggest looking at other solutions.  If you care to outline your plan; and you don't have to give details, we can better inform you.

thats ok, i was just asking for someone who likes dolphin but is looking for something without the sign up/login .. its for customers to see a basic business card site but where employees can log in... thanks

So are you planning on adding the employees by hand?  Or are you planning on importing an employees database into Dolphin?

You can remove the join link.  However, employees still need to log in unless you are planning on trying to have them auto-logged on if they are logged on in a different app?
