I do not know if this has already been mentioned here. I
had already noticed the problem with the beta versions, and I just
checked the problem still exists with dolphin 7 (latest update)
If
you create a group, any Member who is not even a fan or admin can edit
the group and any change in (the blurb, rights, etc. ..)
Who has noticed this problem? |
Yes, I've post this issue from Bx and no one care.
This is caused because there is no Fan Only selection in View Group option of Group privacy setting
when group is created. Boonex said because Join link is inside group main page and only allow view
group so people can join group. But group creator only want allow the group members (fans) to view
the group. The join link should separate from group main page.

Yes, but it's very dangerous.
Because
if for some reason, the creator of the group does not want to ask
confirmation of group membership, anyone can edit the group, add text,
etc. ... And even if the group administrator requires registration approval, it does not necessarily know all the members of the site. If the site has several thousand members, it becomes unmanageable. It is imperative that BoonEx, do something about this, otherwise this module will be useless because dangerous

I would think that if you have the right blocks check or not checked in the membership level will give permissions to who can edit, create, delete and even join would take care of the problem.??? works for me>> but I do see what you mean, yes needs additional restrictions.
groups add group
groups approve groups
groups broadcast message
groups browse
groups comments delete and edit
groups delete any group
groups edit any group
groups mark as featured
groups search
groups view group

Yes you are right, I was too fast, I had not looked at that option, thank you for reminding me
